We are hosting a FREE natural flower dye workshop with Barrie Cohen, designer & creator of Anthemia. Bring whites and we'll supply the rest!
The dye station will be open from 1-5PM; dyeing takes about 30-45 minutes. Barrie will show us how the flowers and placement can make special patterns, colors, and styles to make each piece unique.
Bring white or off white clothes and textiles in natural fibers (cotton, wool, silk, linen, etc.) to dye with the flower bundles. Consider bringing older whites to make them feel new again!
Anthemia will provide all the tools and flowers (rescued from NYC events). Each item will turn out completely unique.
Please bring small items no bigger then a t-shirt or pillow case. Hand dyed cloth napkins and tea towels make great gifts!
Items will be wet - bring a reused plastic bag or sealable container for your transportation home. All items must be picked up before 5PM to go home.
Beginner-friendly workshop!
A word from our co-host: Barrie Cohen, Anthemia
I use pre-used materials in my work as much as possible in order to reduce waste. From fabric to clothing, to even floral and food waste, I think it's important to use things as much as possible and avoid throwing them in the garbage. Learn more at anthemia.co and by following @anthemia.co.
